BONE GRAFTS SURGERY
Bone grafts replace missing bone with autogenous bone (bone from your body) or other natural substitutes. The grafting adds material for support, but also fosters a natural regeneration of your mouth’s lost bone. As the bone regenerates, it develops a bridge to the graft, making the area overall incredibly strong. Before dental implants can be securely placed, many mouths require bone grafts. Grafting adds support to the bone structure that otherwise would not be strong enough to support the implants. The level of grafting depends on the strength of the patient’s bone and gums.
